Julian merchants association

...to find a unique balance of economic development, within a neighborhood setting and through special events, to contribute to the financial health, welfare, and pride of our mountain community!

 About Us

Tracy TurnerWhether you are here for the day, the weekend, a vacation or you're just a “local”, we hope you enjoy the many things you will find to do in this wonderful mountain community. Soak up the ever present history while you stay in one of the romantic Inns or Bed & Breakfast’s, take pleasure dining in the various restaurants, stroll through the many unique shops and relax.

Most of the businesses in Julian are small “mom and pop shops” under pressure to make a living while providing the utmost in customer service. The Julian Merchants Association was founded to preserve the historic spirit and protect the natural beauty of Julian, while enhancing the economic vitality of our town. The business owners know each other, support each other and are able to work together creating a gracious atmosphere for everyone.

One of our favorite community projects is decorating the town for our Country Christmas celebration. Volunteers are responsible for this tremendous amount of work and we, the Merchants are indebted to these amazing people for their unselfish contribution. Come back after Thanksgiving and you will catch a glimpse of old fashioned holiday merriment.

It is an honor and a privilege to serve on the Board of Directors of the Julian Merchants Association and with the help of the community our businesses and our town will continue to grow and prosper.
